Earlier this year I and several other SF writers had the opportunity to visit Microsoft Research's Tech Fest to see the latest projects they were working on and talk with the researchers. The goal was to inspire us to produce a collection of short stories, which it certainly did! The collection is called Future Visions: Original Science Fiction Stories Inspired by Microsoft, and it's coming out on all major eBook platforms for free on November 17th. The collection features eight award-winning, acclaimed writers of science fiction, and also includes a short graphic novel and an original illustration for each story. The image below, by Joey Camacho, is for my story, "The Machine Starts".
